ECP opposes online voting facility for overseas Pakistanis

Election Commission has regretted that it cannot provide E-voting facility to the overseas Pakistani


ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday opposed the decision to provide voting facility the overseas Pakistanis.

In this regard, the ECP has submitted its report in the Supreme Court today.

The Election Commission stated that giving right to vote to Overseas Pakistanis through uncertified/untested computer system would be risky.

The ECP has suggested that initially the system should be used on a limited scale and it requires legislation also.
