Angry scenes were witnessed when former military dictator Pervez Musharraf arrived in Sindh High Court to seek the extention of his bail on Friday.
People, including groups of lawyers, shouted slogans against Musharraf as he was escorted into the court complex by uniformed security personnel.
An unidentified man also attempted to hurl a shoe at Pervez Musharraf in premises of the court.
In a relief to former military ruler, the Sindh High Court extended by 15 days his pre-arrest bail period in the case of ‘illegal confinement’ of 62 judges after he declared a state of emergency in the country on November 3, 2007.
The court also extended his protective bail for 21 days in Benazir Bhutto and Nawab Akbar Bugti murder cases.
Earlier on March 22, Judge Sajjad Ali Shah had posted bail at 300,000 rupees ($3,000) over the 2007 assassination of Benazir Bhutto, the 2007 illegal sacking of judges and the 2006 killing of Akbar Bugti.
Musharraf, who formed political party All Pakistan Muslim League, intends lead his party in the May 11 polls.
