7.8 magnitude earthquake shakes Karachi, Quetta, New Delhi other Asian cities

KARACHI: An strong earthquake measuring magnitude 7.8 on Richter scale jolted Asian and Gulf specially Pakistani cities including Karachi, Islamabad, Hyderabad, Lahore and Quetta city of Pakistan on Tuesday afternoon.
US Geological survey confirmed that the epicenter of the quake was at Pakistan-Iran border and it was recorded 7.8 on Richter scale.
The quake was also felt in few Indian, Gulf, Pakistani, Iranian cities.
The quake was also felt Dubia.
Correspondent from Karachi said that the quake wast felt at 3:45pm and it created panic among the offices workers. “It was measured 7.9 on Richter scale in Karachi,” Asad Farooq, the correspondent, said.
