Army to oversee printing of ballots: ECP

ECP has decided to deploy army personnel at Priting Corporation Pakistan Press offices.


ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to deploy Pakistan Army personnel at Printing Corporation Pakistan Press, Islamabad/Lahore offices and the Pakistan Security Printing Corporation, Karachi, to supervise the printing of ballot papers.

Pakistan Army would provide security from printing process to distribution of the ballot papers, a statement issued said.

According to the statement, a letter has been written to Pakistan Army in this regard.

It has also been decided that a army will be deployed at all polling stations on election days.
