MURREE (Dunya News) - Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf has announced that if voted to power‚ his party would arrange local bodies elections within the first 90 days.
Addressing a public meeting at Murree on Monday afternoon he said the decades old police‚ development‚ education and health problems would be easily addressed by the people of the concerned villages where these facilities will be built.
He said the work of MNAs and MPAs is to formulate policies and not to run the local government systems. He blamed that the important local bodies systems were deliberately corrupted by the previous governments to gain monetary benefits.
He said his party has given tickets to 80 per cent new candidates.
