Ex-president Pervez Musharraf has submitted his reply in the Supreme Court regarding treason case.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News):-The former president also moved an application in the apex court for formation of full bench to resume hearing of afore said case.
According to the reply, general (r) Musharraf took the stance that the steps taken on November 3,2007 were in accordance with the recognized judicial verdicts.
Pervez Musharraf has also prayed to the court that the aforesaid case filed against him has many legal and constitutional complexities; so a full bench except Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry should be formed for hearing of treason case. The Chief Justice is an affected party who is likely to be partial in the case.
Former President Pervez Musharraf is being tried in treason case in the light of the verdict announced on July 31, 2009 issued by 14-memebr bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
