By on Saturday, May 04, 2013

All the political activities of the party remained suspended on Saturday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Awami National Party (ANP) is observing day of mourning against the killing of Sadiq Zaman Khattak, the party’s candidate for NA-254 in Karachi, along with his 6-year-old son.

All the political activities of the party were suspended while other business activities and transport remained unaffected across the city.

Mr. Khattak was returning from a mosque after offering Friday prayers with his six-year-old son when gunmen on a motorbike opened fire on him in Bilal colony area of Korangi.

The ANP leader condemned the killing while termed it an act carried out to keep the party away from general elections.
