ECP summons meeting over alleged vote rigging

Several mainstream parties have also protested against vote rigging.


ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned an emergency meeting in Islamabad on Monday to assess complaints of rigging received from across the country.

The meeting will be headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Fakhruddin G Ebrahim, during which reports by districts returning officers and returning officers of Karachi NA-250 constituency will also be reviewed.

Several mainstream parties of the country have claimed that rigging took place on many seats affecting the election results.
