LONDON (Dunnya News) – The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has dissolved the Coordination (Rabita) Committee of MQM in London and Pakistan with immediate effect.

The Nine Zero administration committee has also been dissolved. Names for the new Coordination Committee shall be finalized on 25th May in a general workers meeting of the MQM to be held in Jinnah Ground, Azizabad.

The announcement was made by Altaf Hussain in a meeting at Nine Zero while talking to the members of the dissolved coordination committee and office-bearers of various departments of the MQM.

A seven-member provisional committee has been formed for running the organizational affairs of the party. The provisional committee will function till the coming Saturday. Members of the dissolved coordination committee have been directed to assist the provisional committee.

Altaf Hussain has directed the provisional committee to finalize the names of the new Nine Zero administration committee within 24 hours.

The move comes two days after Altaf Hussain dissolved MQM’s Tanzeem Committee over receiving number of complaints from party workers.

During an address to party workers on Wednesday, Altaf Hussain said he would purge the party of ‘corrupt and unwanted’ elements and that the cleansing process for that purpose had already begun.
