Coordination Committee says conspiracy is being hatched to malign MQM.

KARACH (Dunya News) - The members of MQM’s coordination committee have said that an operation like 1992 has been launched in the city.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday along with other members of the coordination committee, MQM’s leader Dr Sagheer Ahmad said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s and Interior Minister Chudhry Nisar Ali Khan’s efforts for restoration of peace in Karachi were being sabotaged.
He said that only MQM was being targeted in the operation launched by the law enforcement agencies.
Dr Sagheer appealed to the PM to take notice of the discrimination against MQM. He said that MQM’s workers were being arrested by the law enforcement agencies and party offices were being raided instead of action against gang war and banned terrorist outfits in the city.
Sagheer said that workers of MQM never got scared and faced all the discrimination with courage and would stand firm in future as they could not be sidelined from the mainstream politics.
The coordination committee said those hatching conspiracies against MQM should learn from past mistakes.
He said that the MQM could move the courts if registration of fake cased and arrests of the party workers were not stopped.
Dr Sagheer said that MQM could take any decision in future regarding the present situation.
Earlier, MQM submitted a requisition for Sindh Assembly session on to discuss issue of raids at party offices and registration of case against its workers.
Talking to media on this occasion MQM’s leader Faisal Sabzwari condemned the arrest of former MPA Nadim Hashmi and termed it a conspiracy against the party. He said that any political party or ethnic group should not be targeted in the operation.
Faisal said the party didn’t protest despite raids in MQM dominated areas in which he said as many as 100 activists were held during the last six days.
Sabzwari said that the MQM had announced its support to the federal and Sindh governments for bringing peace in Karachi. He, however, said that the MPA was arrested in a fake case.
