Upper Dir: Two army officers martyred in blast

The President and the Prime Minister have expressed their grief over the sad demise of the officers.

RAWALPINDI (Web News) General Officer Commanding Malakand Division Major General Sanaullah and two other soldiers have been martyred in a landmine explosion in Upper Dir.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations‚ the other martyrs included Lieutenant Colonel Tauseef and Lance Naek Irfan.
Major General Sanaullah was on a visit to Pak-Afghan border to examine forward check posts at Bin Shahi.
President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif have condoled the martyrdom of Army personnel in Upper Dir.
In his message of condolence‚ the Prime Minister said Pakistan Army has made substantial sacrifices to protect the nation from the menace of terrorism and such cowardly acts by terrorists cannot deter the morale of our Armed Forces.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the departed souls with eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved families to bear this loss with fortitude.
