BB murder case: Musharraf sent on physical remand till April 30

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - The anti-terrorism court has sent former president Pervez Musharraf on physical remand till April 30 in Benazir Bhutto murder case.

The ex-dictator appeared before the ATC on Friday after FIA arrested him. During the course of proceedings, FIA requested the court for physical remand of Musharraf.

The court allowed FIA while dismissed another plea seeking change in FIA’s investigation team.

Earlier, the FIA arrested Musharraf after his plea to extend interim bail was dismissed.

The formal proceedings for the arrest were completed by the FIA Deputy Director at Musharraf’s farmhouse in Chak Shahzad late Thursday which has been declared sub-jail.

During the interrogation, the former president was asked why Benazir Bhutto was not provided security upon her return to Pakistan, to which Musharraf replied that she was provided complete security. Musharraf also refused to accept the allegations against him and said Benazir Bhutto became the target of terrorists.
