AG has informed the Supreme Court that overseas Pakistanis cannot be given the right to vote.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary heard a case regarding giving the right to vote to overseas Pakistanis.
Attorney General Irfan Qadir informed the apex court that overseas Pakistanis cannot be given the right to vote as legislation is required for this purpose.
The court was told that 7 countries including Australia‚ Bahrain and Canada are willing to facilitate the overseas Pakistanis in this regard.
