The full bench of LHC has sought a reply from FBR till tomorrow.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Lahore High Court (LHC) has admitted a plea pertaining to the postponement of general elections for hearing on Thursday.
The petitioner stated that the scrutiny of candidates was not held correctly, adding that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and State Bank haven’t provided the returning officers (ROs) with the list of defaulters while the ROs have accepted the nomination papers without it.
He requested the court to postpone elections for two months so that a strict scrutiny of the candidates could be held.
The deputy attorney general argued that the petitioner wanted to derail the democratic system.
On which the full bench of LHC has summoned the FBR s director intelligence for tomorrow.
