Masses face 12-16 hours of electricity load shedding

Citizens complained that load shedding has disturbed their routine works.


LAHORE (Dunya News) - With gradual increase in temperature, the phenomenon of unscheduled electricity loadshedding is also picking up pace, as the residents of rural areas are facing 16 hours of loadshedding while the locals of urban areas are facing up to 12 hours of outages.

Meanwhile, the electricity shortfall has reached 3,500MW as the demand remained 12,700MW.

Power outage has affected domestic life to a great extent. Women are facing numerous problems in carrying out domestic chores. Meanwhile, the traders and business outlets are irked by the disproportionate duration of power outages.

According to officials, load shedding duration could reduce after improvement in fuel supply.
