Sharifs' nomination papers: Tribunal reserves verdict

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Election Tribunal of Lahore High Court (LHC) has reserved the verdict against the nomination papers of Sharif brothers on Monday.

The court will hear the plea against the nomination papers of Imran Khan today.

A tribunal comprising Justice Nasir Saeed Shaikh and Justice Shahid Wahid heard the appeals against the acceptance of nomination papers of PTI chief Imran Khan and PML-N’s leaders after Justice Imtiaz excused from holding the hearing.

Sohail Malik, opponent of PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif in constituency NA-120, had filed an appeal against acceptance of his nomination papers while appeal against former Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif had been filed by his opponent Rana Sajjad Afzal in constituency PP-161.

Meanwhile, an appeal against PTI’s chief Imran Khan had been filed by his opponent Junaid Murtaza in the constituency NA-122.
