Measles claim another life, toll rises to 62

The government has decided to launch nationwide vaccination from June.


LAHORE (Dunya News) – Another child has succumbed to measles, rising the overall death toll to 62 in the Punjab province.

The deceased minor was identified as Ali Raza who was undergoing treatment at Mayo Hospital of Lahore.

According to sources, hundreds of children are admitted to different public hospitals where vaccination is being provided to the affectees by the government. However, the spread of the epidemic is still not under control.

Meanwhile, the government has decided to launch nationwide vaccination from June.
