KARACHI/ PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker for Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assemblies is being held in Karachi and Peshawar this morning.
The PPP has nominated Agha Siraj Durrani for the office of the Speaker and Syeda Shehla Raza for the Deputy Speaker.
MQM s Khawaja Izharul Hassan is competing for the slot of Speaker and Heer Ismail Soho for Deputy Speaker.
Similarly‚ Irfanullah Marwat of PML-N is contesting for Speaker and Nusrat Bano Sehar Abbasi of PML-F for Deputy Speaker.
On the other hand‚ the election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa is also being held in Peshawar.
A meeting of the parliamentary committee of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf formally nominated Asad Qaiser for Speaker and Imtaiz Qureshi for Deputy Speaker.
Meanwhile‚ the election for Leader of the House (Chief Minister) in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Assembly would be held tomorrow.
