RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has issued summons for former president Pervez Musharraf while Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has challenged the verdict against re-hearing of the case in Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi bench.
The ATC’s special court judge Chaudhry Habibur Rehman heard the case pertaining to the murder of Benazir Bhutto on Monday.
Issuing summons for Musharraf, the court adjourned the hearing till April 13.
Meanwhile, FIA has challenged the verdict against the rehearing of case in LHC’s Rawalpindi bench.
FIA’s prosecutor Chaudhry Zulfiqar, in his petition, stated that a separate trial of Musharraf should be held. He said that statements of more than 30 witnesses have been recorded and rehearing will have an effect on them.
