Measles still out of control in Punjab

216 news cases of measles surfaced during last 24 hours in Punjab.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Two more more children died of measles in Lahore on Thursday, bringing the death toll to 122 across Punjab.

18-month-old Anam from Sandah area of Lahore died in Gangaram Hospital today. Whereas another 18-month-old girl named Saira breathed her last in Lahore’s Meo Hospital today. She was shifted to hospital from Muridkay area.

The provincial government has failed to curb the outbreak despite vaccination campaigns.

Over 14,000 children have been affected by the disease and are under treatment in government hospitals across Punjab.
